Monday

Good morning! Here we are to start another week. Fortunately, it is springtime - and that lifts the spirits for many of us! I am trying to get into the yoga habit after many years away. My “old bones” are demanding a bit more attention and care than I have given them lately.

Congrats to my client family who delivered their baby over the weekend! It was my first experience at the Mercy Birthing Center. What a blessing to have midwives on staff at local hospitals! Their approach to care is so very different from the medical model. We were blessed with a great team of supportive, respectful and patient practitioners.

On another note, yesterday was Bereaved Mother’s Day. There are millions of us who have lost children - whether during pregnancy, birth, in the early postpartum or later. We never forget the time we had with our babies, no matter how brief. The feelings of pain and loss become part of who we are. We can empathize with others and understand how the agony is a part of life. Hugs to each of us!
