It has been a few months since my son helped me set up this site. I am slow to build it, as it is a lot to learn for me. I would like to tie this blog to my FB page at Chrysalis Birth Services. So much helpful info, research data and tips are available.

I have to say that I am so thankful to be a part of the wave of change to overhaul maternity care in the US. We have an unfortunate history of dismissing and marginalizing women, as well as overzealous use of medical technology. The Midwifery Model of Care is a crucial part of building a respectful and inclusive approach to the childbearing year.

I welcome your input and suggestions as I grow this site, expand my doula business and continue my journey in midwifery. Thanks!
